Job summary

Kalitta Air, LLC in Oscoda, MI seeks a Regular Full-Time Materials Stockroom Manager to ensure compliance with FAA standards, maintain stock levels, and oversee receiving, shipping, and cycle counts.

You will train staff, implement process improvements, and use inventory systems. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; HazMat training and aviation experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stockroom complies with company standards, FAA regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee OSC inventory and reporting processes, including cycle counts.
• Ensure OSC Stockroom personnel are up to date on required training.
• Identify changes to improve department processes and submit as necessary.
• Maintain adequate stock levels for expendable and rotable components.
• Oversee shipping/receiving to/from maintenance facilities domestically and internationally.
• Train and discipline subordinates per policy; ensure FAA and company standards.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are kept in operational condition.
• Perform other duties as directed by Materials Manager.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Ensure the stockroom is in compliance with company standards, FAA Regulations and Safety standards.
• Responsible for OSC inventory and ensuring reporting processes are in place and followed. This includes being responsible for cycle counts execution and completed in a timely fashion.
• Ensure all OSC Stockroom personnel are up to date on required training.
• Responsible for OSC Stockroom department processes. Must identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality and submit changes as necessary in relation to Kalitta Air MX in OSC as well as other Kalitta MX facilities.
• Maintain adequate stock levels for all expendable and rotable components.
• Oversee shipping, receiving to/from all maintenance facilities both domestic and international locations.
• Train and discipline subordinates per company policy and ensure maintenance meets FAA and company standards.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are kept in operational and professional condition.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Materials Manager

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

This position requires a high school diploma and requires one to hold a valid drivers’ license. HAZMAT training is preferred, and Forklift truck experience is required. Aviation experience preferred w/ background in navigating and using Inventory Management databases. Microsoft Office experience is required, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient communication skills are a must.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to create / write routine reports and correspondence.
