The Role
As the Materials Manager, you will be responsible for the success of all aspects of the materials management process and the team. Your focus will be on optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and meet Durex customer requirements. You will lead the accuracy of all inventories, including transactions, procurement costs, and the warehouse team.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop the materials management team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Develop, implement, and manage a fully integrated purchasing process that includes make versus buy analysis, capacity planning, demand purchases through MRP, inventory, material, and associated costs.
- Perform analysis of material requirements with forecasts and historical usage to develop material acquisition plans that meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop the most economical strategies supporting production planning and customer demand.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to systems and processes supporting inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize supply chain operations in areas such as raw materials, purchased finished goods, and MRO supplies.
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Establish and manage systems to evaluate and report supplier performance through scorecards.
- Coordinate with quality, engineering, demand planning, and assembly to ensure on-time delivery and address issues proactively.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by implementing and managing inventory control systems with the accounting department.
- Participate as a team member in cross-functional operations decisions and quality issue resolutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to achieve cost reduction targets.

- Perform various projects and analyses as required.
- Ensure inventory KPIs, such as inventory turns, are met.
- Negotiate supply agreements to secure the best prices and lead times.
- Provide reports on inventory, usage, and supplier performance.
- Supervise procurement, warehouse, and inventory analysis teams.
- Monitor purchase price variances and control costs.
- Establish and review minimum and maximum inventory levels for critical materials.
- Develop and lead a cycle count program and oversee annual physical inventories.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive management experience in materials and sourcing within an engineer-to-order and manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; MS Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $135,000 per year, plus a 10% bonus.
