Overview
Performs various tasks involved in the manufacture of medical devices. The operator will be trained in and will follow written procedures for any work to be performed. Job performance will be evaluated based upon predetermined criteria for quality of work and productivity, as well as attendance, adherence to company policies and procedures, standards of conduct, and safety record.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a positive work environment through continuous communication and participation in common goals, while striving to improve our products and services to meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
- Use good judgment where decisions are required in the performance of assigned tasks.
- Develop and prepare production schedules to meet company customer service, production, and inventory objectives, including providing timely manufacturing schedules, generating production orders, monitoring daily production, maintaining lead times, and coordinating staging and labeling.
- Manage inventories to meet customer demand and financial objectives, including identifying slow-moving inventory, ensuring materials are on hand, maintaining accurate BOMs, organizing annual inventory, and monitoring inventory levels.
- Purchase production and non-production materials, negotiate terms, coordinate with vendors, process requisitions, and maintain purchasing files.
- Forecast material prices, report on budget performance, and keep pricing current in Sage.
- Serve as the key customer contact, ensuring delivery dates are met, coordinating shipments, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Provide directions to warehouse staff to ensure proper warehouse functioning and compliance with GMPs and policies.
- Perform administrative duties as required, including data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Ensure all responsibilities are performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of production planning and purchasing experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing is desirable but not required.
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs and working in various positions.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in a well-lighted, controlled office environment, with some tasks requiring PPE or working in controlled environments.
