Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Materials Manager for the New Mexico Surgery Center - Multispecialty.

This role manages inventory, orders medical supplies, and coordinates with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations in a fast-paced ASC environment. The Materials Manager will oversee receiving, stocking, and distribution, maintain inventory systems, and support the surgical team while meeting facility policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years in Materials Management or scrub/Central Supply background.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team oriented and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with contract management.
  • General understanding of medical supply equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates receiving, processing, distributing, and storing supplies.
  • Ensures healthy flow throughout the supply chain.
  • Monitors and manages equipment repairs.
  • Maintains and coordinates the inventory system.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.
  • Provides financial analysis to support department goals.
  • Coordinates with clinical/business managers, physicians, and departments on patient care needs and procurement.
  • Plans, coordinates and manages all Materials Management Supply functions.

Job Summary:

The Materials Manager is responsible for the process, which includes inventory control: ordering all medical supplies, maintaining an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies, receiving and stocking of all medical supplies to their assigned area. Provides support to the surgical team and provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinates receiving, processing, distributing, and storing of supplies
