Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking an inventory control professional to support the Surgery Center and OCOM practice. The role emphasizes proper handling of surgical instruments, PAR level monitoring, and adherence to regulatory requirements while maintaining efficient operations in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and materials handling or inventory experience, enabling effective collaboration with Materials Services and clinical staff

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory control with Materials Services for the Surgery Center and OCOM.

• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Follow all licensing board, agency requirements and Benefis Health System policies.

• Responsible for the management of inventory control in collaboration with Materials Services management and staff for the Surgery Center as well as the OCOM practice.
• Responsible for ensuring proper care and use of surgical instruments.. .
• Monitors PAR levels of all surgical supplies.
• Cleans and sterilizes surgical instruments.
• Participates in departmental staff meeting and performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
• Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
• Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned.
• Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency.
