Job summary

UT Health East Texas is seeking a Day shift Materials Technician in Tyler, TX, to support daily inventory management of procedural area supplies and ensure patient safety.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, with at least 1 year in Materials Management or a clinical area, and familiarity with Lawson and Epic systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• 1 year must have been in Materials Management or a Clinical Area.
• ERP system experience, such as Lawson.
• Warehouse organization and operational experience.
• Knowledge of Epic decremented inventory.
• Understanding of operating room products and their uses.
• Knowledge of PO pricing and GL interaction.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).

Responsibilities

• The Materials Tech coordinates and assists with the daily inventory management and control of procedural area supplies.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
• Additionally, this role includes the use of analytic tools to accurately capture spend and utilization data (Lawson, Epic, Excel) in support of inventory control and management.
