Job summary

Qualifications

• AA or BS degree with 3+ years manufacturing exp, or 7+ years in manufacturing leadership.
• 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a small team in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong time management, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Applied knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPS, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and Environmental regulations and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees have the proper training, skills, and tools to work safely.
• Create and sustain a safe work environment.
• Maintain compliance with industrial workplace safety and health regulations.
• Identify improvement opportunities for safety and lead or recommend corrective action.
• Manage the employee safety program on an ongoing basis.
• Manage and maintain Powell inventory accuracy & cycle count requirements.
• Complete root cause investigation & corrective action to inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure Powell assets are properly utilized and maintained.
• Develop and deliver effective communications with direct reports, teams, other functions, and external contacts.
• Lead and conduct effective meetings.
• Administer Powell policy and procedures consistently.
• Develop individuals and work teams so they can operate effectively with minimal supervision.
• Create an environment where employees can grow and develop into greater levels of contribution.
• Develop and administer performance evaluations.
• Effectively manage performance.
• Act as a change agent; Lead and influence employees through change processes.
