Job summary

University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Logistics & Materials Technician to support hospital operations. You will monitor material needs, track movement between facilities, receive and inspect deliveries, and ensure timely inventory to meet schedules.

The role is full-time, on-site at the UM hospital campuses. A minimum of 3 years' experience and a high school diploma are required, along with strong communication, teamwork, and technical proficiency. Competitive benefits are included.

Work Shift:

Full-Time: 40 hrs. per week; M-F, Days, Nights. Flexible Shift, On-calls and weekends may be required.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Monitors material requirements and tracks movement between facilities.
• Ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules or inventory requirements.
• Ensures all necessary supplies and par levels are maintained for all assigned areas.
• Receives, inspects, and delivers all incoming supplies.
• Maintains all order-related documentation and tracking information.
• Approves all critical supply logs for storeroom inventory supplies.
• Reviews product use and coordinates ordering to ensure best pricing.
• Works with other departments to resolve inventory and supply order issues, ensure timely deliveries, and address stop shipments or credit holds.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
