The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Materials Management Assistant to help with science kits and labs by packing, organizing and delivering, and to serve the regional area of local schools and teachers. The position also involves maintaining the warehouse area and materials with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include properly stocking and labeling supplies, operating office machines and software, and collaborating with a team during day shifts onsite.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Currently licensed with a Driver's License from the State of Alabama required.
  • Must pass driver safety training and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software, including email.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to relate well to a diverse population.
  • Ability to operate IHE-owned motor vehicles while complying with safety codes and traffic rules.

General Responsibilities

To help with Science kits/labs by packing, organizing and delivering. To deliver in the regional area of local schools and teachers. To maintain the warehouse area and materials.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Hourly Pay Range

$15.00 – $20.30

Qualifications
