Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Materials & Maintenance Expeditor for its Massena, NY site. The role links maintenance, procurement, storeroom, and supplier teams to ensure critical materials are available for operations.

You will expedite POs, monitor statuses, coordinate with suppliers, and support inventory accuracy while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to enable uninterrupted maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, inventory control, and materials management.
• Proficiency with ERP, procurement, inventory, and CMMS.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across maintenance, procurement, storeroom, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Expedite purchase orders and deliveries to support maintenance and operational requirements.
• Monitor material status and communicate delays, shortages, risks, and disruptions to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery commitments and material availability.
• Track critical and emergency orders to support uninterrupted operations and maintenance activities.
• Maintain visibility of open purchase orders, delivery schedules, and material status within systems.
• Partner with maintenance planners and supervisors to identify, source, and prioritize materials for upcoming work and urgent needs.
• Verify material availability and coordinate material staging for scheduled maintenance, outages, and shutdowns.
• Resolve material-related constraints, order discrepancies, shipping issues, and invoicing concerns.
