Job summary

Alcoa in Massena, NY, invites applications for a Production Maintenance Coordinator role. This position drives the maintenance and operations strategy to improve equipment reliability, coordinating ReX processes and contractor work to ensure safe, efficient production.

The role partners with Reliability Excellence, maintenance, and operations teams to plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance activities, while leading development of safe work plans and ensuring timely completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred- Engineering, Operations, or related industrial specialty.
• 3 years’ work experience preferably within an operations/maintenance function in an industrial process environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with mechanical and electrical experience.
• Experience coordinating, planning, and scheduling maintenance activities across functions.
• Experience in developing maintenance and operations plans to support business goals.
• General understanding of operational and maintenance KPIs.
• Familiarity with risk management and process safety principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively, influence others, and collaborate with peers, stakeholders, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Reliability Excellence, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Lead contracted project work; scope, planning, timelines, safe work plan.
• Coordinate all maintenance and operational activities and ensure alignment between stakeholders.
• Support/Lead the department teams to ensure adherence to the total planning process.
• Develop safe work pre-Plans for maintenance work (isolation, testing, welding, grinding).
• Review maintenance work requests daily and ensure quality & priority.
• Work with Planners to provide input to work scope, schedules, and priorities.
• Ensure resources are available and maintenance tasks are completed as planned.
• Monitor production activities to support planned work and intervene when needed.
• Attend planning meetings providing input to scope, priority, and schedule.
