Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Material Coordinator in Austin, TX to support daily store activities, inventory accuracy, and material movement for production and cleanroom readiness. The role requires adaptability to a busy manufacturing environment and compliance with safety protocols.

You will handle parts receipt, inventory updates in ERP (Oracle/SAP), and collaborate across teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing and shipment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes daily stores activities and may perform satellite receiving or materials pickup/drop-off at vendor sites.
• Investigates inquiries, conducts cycle counts to verify/inventory, and transfers kits/materials for shipment prep.
• Receives parts, updates inventory records in Oracle/SAP, confirms vendor delivery, and monitors shortage reports.
• Coordinates processing of non-conformances and prepares material for delivery to the cleanroom.
• Prevents excess material under supervision; moves stock; replenishes line-side bins as needed.
• Reviews MRP for upcoming work orders; expedites receipt of materials from vendors.
• Trains/certifies other Material Coordinators; purges excess stock and may rework/transfer/scrap items.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jacks and may drive a van or overhead crane; follows safety standards.
