Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Materials and Logistics Manager at the Charlotte factory to oversee storage, distribution, and inventory management for production needs. You will drive efficient material flow, reduce waste, and ensure timely delivery to meet schedules and customer demands.

The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team, apply supply chain expertise, and use data-driven approaches to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
• 5+ years in materials management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• 3+ years inventory control, demand planning and warehouse operations.
• 3+ years ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• 3+ years leading teams, drive process improvements, and manage supplier relationships.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for material handling, warehouse operations, and logistics.
• Set clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize material flow and logistics processes, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
• Oversee material planning, procurement, receiving, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely and accurate supply of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and suppliers to mitigate risks related to material shortages or supply chain disruptions.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation of materials.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and manage the department budget, optimizing costs while maintaining service levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards related to materials handling and logistics.
• Utilize ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, streamline operations, and enhance decision-making.

SAP experience (preferred)
