Job summary

Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. is seeking a Logistics and Materials Supervisor to oversee material flow, inventory, and shipping activities in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise teams across Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom, and Housing, align with production schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include monitoring shortages, coordinating deliveries, validating shipments, and maintaining ERP records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 2+ years in logistics, materials, warehouse, or shipping/receiving with direct reports.
• Experience supervising daily work assignments in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience using an integrated ERP or inventory-management system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and expedite material flow within and between departments based on schedules.
• Provide daily supervision, coaching, and support to Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom, and Housing teams.
• Review schedules and shortages to determine required materials and coordinate timely delivery.
• Inspect shipments for quantity, type, part numbers, condition, and documentation.
• Coordinate receiving, stocking, picking, staging, packing, and shipping activities.
• Maintain accurate material locations and inventory transactions; support cycle counts.
• Monitor shortages, late receipts, staging constraints, and shipment risks; escalate as needed.
• Ensure ERP transactions for receipts, movements, and shipments are accurate and timely.
• Drive 6S, safety, and continuous improvement across assigned areas.
• Prepare status reports for the Supply Chain Manager and other leaders.
