Job summary

Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, material flow, logistics, and inventory control. You will own inventory accuracy, policy setting, and supplier performance while balancing customer commitments and working capital.

The role requires strong leadership, ERP/MRP expertise, and a proven track record in optimizing supply chains within a manufacturing environment. This position is on-site and offers growth opportunities within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in manufacturing supply chain considered.
5+ years in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or materials management.
Leadership experience in supervising teams is preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP, inventory controls, and carrier coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead the organization's supply chain execution for procurement, material flow, logistics, warehousing, and inventory control.
Own inventory accuracy, cycle-count programs, physical inventory activities, and variance resolution.
Establish inventory policies for safety stock, reorder points, and lead times.
Ensure materials are available to support operational requirements while balancing commitments and working capital.
Direct inbound/outbound logistics, freight planning, and shipment documentation.
Develop processes for safe handling, traceability, and space utilization.
Manage supplier relationships and performance, including cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
Lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier development activities.
Monitor open POs, shortages, and expediting; communicate risks and recovery plans.
Analyze inventory, purchasing, logistics, and supplier data to identify trends and improvements.
Develop KPIs, standard work, and controls to drive performance.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Customer Service to resolve issues.
Drive Lean, Kaizen, 6S, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Support ERP data integrity and disciplined transaction execution.
Develop contingency plans for critical suppliers and disruptions.
Provide leadership and coaching to supply chain personnel.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost-reduction initiatives within the scope of supply chain.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, trade, and regulatory requirements.
