Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Perrysburg, OH is seeking a Materials Lead to drive world-class material flow in a highly automated plastic injection molding facility. You will set the strategy for the materials organization, lead inbound/outbound shipments, and oversee planning, scheduling, and inventory movement, while mentoring shop-floor teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with SAP/ERP experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, logistics, materials, or related field.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and SAP.
• Strong Lean principles with a proven track record of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for the materials organization.
• Lead inbound and outbound shipments for the facility.
• Lead for materials planning and scheduling for the facility.
• Lead for all internal material movement.
• Responsible for inventory management.
• Responsible for all inventory movement equipment.
• Identify opportunities for improvement regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics.
• Manage supplier relationships and lead capital projects.
• Facilitate projects and mentor shop floor teams.
• Work cross-functionally to drive solutions.
