Job summary

TTL, Inc. seeks a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician in Tuscaloosa, AL. You will perform standard lab tests on soils, aggregates, flyash, rock cores, concrete, and masonry blocks according to ASTM and AASHTO procedures.

Responsibilities include data compilation, reporting, calibration of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols while supporting on-site assessments. Requires strong communication and accuracy; physical capability to lift 50 pounds and willingness to work extra hours

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office).
• Experience with Bentley gINT and AutoCAD preferred.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain accurate records and detailed lab analyses/reports/notes.
• Willing to work extra hours and weekends as needed.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and in good order.
• Be professional and responsive with clients.
• Maintain neat appearance and respectful behavior.
• Adhere to all safety protocols.
• Detail-oriented with electronic and physical samples.
• Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills for specialized laboratory testing.
• Compile accurate data, reports, and analyses.
• Perform calculations with basic math.
• Maintain lab instruments per ASTM standards.
• Calibrate testing equipment and record calibration data.
• Assist with on-site assessments by AMRL and CCRL.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols; attend safety meetings.
