Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking Laboratory Technician I, II or III to join the Consultants team. You will sample, process and test materials per ASTM/AASHTO/DOT standards, with thorough documentation of results.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, documenting hours for client billing, keeping a clean lab, meeting deadlines, and adhering to Safety programs. Requires a valid driver’s license and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to write short correspondence, notes, letters and memos.
• Safety minded and able to follow proper safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical/index/chemical lab testing per procedures (CMU, HMA, soils, aggregates).
• Document hours worked and assist in client billing.
• Maintain calibration and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
• Keep a neat, clean and safe laboratory and workspace.
• Follow health and safety programs and meet deadlines.
