Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for Laboratory Technician in Training.
• Laboratory Technician I requires 6 months of applicable experience and at least 1 industry certification.
• Laboratory Technician II requires 1 year of applicable experience and at least 3 industry certifications.
• Laboratory Technician III requires 3 years of applicable experience and at least 5 industry certifications.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet auto insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, index, and chemical construction material laboratory testing (CMU, HMA, soils, aggregate).
• Properly document hours worked and assist in client billing efforts.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and maintain a clean, safe lab environment.
• Maintain relevant certifications and adhere to safety programs.
• Meet deadlines and demonstrate safe usage of tools and equipment; interact with internal and external personnel.
