Raba Kistner, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician I, II, or III to join our Consultants team in the Sulphur, LA area. This role involves sampling, processing and testing materials per established procedures, with meticulous documentation of results.

Positions range from entry to senior levels, requiring varying years of experience and multiple industry certifications. Safety, accuracy, and timely communication are essential in this laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet firm’s auto insurability requirements.
• Laboratory Technician In Training: High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
• Laboratory Technician I: at least 6 months of applicable experience and 1+ industry certification.
• Laboratory Technician II: at least 1 year of applicable experience and 3+ industry certifications.
• Laboratory Technician III: at least 3 years of applicable experience and 5+ industry certifications.
• Relevant certifications from ACI, NICET, TXDOT, ICC, PTI, or approved by hiring manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, processing and testing of materials per procedures and specs, including documentation of results (ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, USACE, etc.).
• Document hours worked and assist in client billing.
• Maintain calibration and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Keep a neat, safe laboratory and workspace.
• Maintain certifications and review testing methods regularly.
• Meet deadlines and follow established procedures.
• Follow safety standards and operate company vehicles safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
