Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Consulting team. You will sample, process, and test materials per ASTM, AASHTO, DOT and related specs, documenting results meticulously.

The role requires strong math and science fundamentals, good communication, and the ability to maintain equipment and safety procedures. Travel to project sites may be required; some overtime is possible.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communications skills; ability to read and understand procedures, specifications, instructions, labels and reports.
• Knowledge of basic math and science to analyze lab results.

Responsibilities

• Sample, process, and test materials per procedures and specifications (ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, USACE).
• Document hours worked and assist in client billing.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe laboratory and workspace.
• Maintain relevant certifications and review testing methods.
• Meet deadlines and adhere to established procedures.
• Demonstrate safe handling, storage, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
• Contribute to safety programs and perform other duties as assigned.
