Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. is seeking a detailed-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Consultants team in the San Antonio, TX area.

The Laboratory Technician will perform sampling, processing, and testing of materials according to established procedures and specifications, documenting results thoroughly. The role involves testing concrete, HMA, soils, and aggregates, maintaining equipment and laboratory safety, and supporting client billing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or current relevant industry certification.
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to read procedures and reports.
• Ability to read basic math and science to analyze lab results.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical/index/chemical construction material laboratory testing (CMU, HMA, soils, aggregate).
• Document hours worked and assist in client billing efforts.
• Maintain, calibrate, and operate lab equipment; ensure a clean, safe workspace.
• Maintain relevant certifications and adhere to safety programs.
• Meet deadlines and demonstrate safe handling of tools and equipment, including company vehicle.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
