Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Material Associate II to manage routine and advanced material handling, ensuring adequate inventory to keep production moving efficiently. The role involves kitting, part picking, and logging inventory while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, tracing shortages, and coordinating with production teams to sustain line productivity. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to grow within the supply chain.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• 3-5 years experience in material handling.
• Ability to work independently.
• Uses independent judgement and initiative to resolve supply problems, consulting supervisor only when all options have been exhausted.
• May be required to have forklift certification.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprint/material drawings.
• Basic computer knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous supply of materials to production areas.
• Kitting materials on the production line to ensure parts are at origination.
• Pick parts from Kanban or storage areas and place into a storage bin.
• Ensure correct parts and quantities support production needs.
• May operate forklift truck or hand truck for delivery or picking.
• Sort and counts parts and logs inventory.
• Inspect parts for damages; report discrepancies.
• Expedite parts and resolve shortages using independent judgement.
• Interact with production assemblers and testers.
• Document material movement using computer tablets.
• Maintain FIFO rotation and KB card documentation.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental standards.
