Job summary

Allegion is hiring a Material Specialist to support production by handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and entering data into ERP/MRP systems. The role requires forklift operation, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will participate in cycle counts, report discrepancies, and assist in continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of material handling experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of material handling and inventory experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and barcode scanners.
• Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Forklift operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials to support production schedules.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventories.
• Enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems.
• Analyze inventory and KPI reports.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized workspaces and report safety hazards.
