Job summary

Interstates is seeking a Material Handler to join our Manufacturing Team in Sioux Center, IA. The role supports Electrical Assemblers by ensuring materials are available, moving and tracking supplies, and maintaining a safe, productive shop environment.

Responsibilities include receiving and organizing materials, operating forklifts, and helping with shipping and inventory. Minimal travel; you’ll work in a busy, hands-on facility with a focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in material handling, inventory, manufacturing, or warehouse preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedures, and schedules.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple requests and support multiple team members.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating forklift or material-handling equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and deliver materials to Electrical Assemblers based on production needs.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials in the Panel Shop and facility.
• Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming materials; report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track material movement.
• Prepare finished panels for shipment and secure products for transport.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Maintain organized inventory of materials and shipping supplies.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and resolve material or shipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
