Qualifications

• Current enrollment at an accredited college or university with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day hot-mix asphalt plant operations under supervision.
• Learn the asphalt production process from raw materials to finished product loadout.
• Gain hands-on exposure to plant controls and performance indicators.
• Support maintenance activities including preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Participate in quality control processes and documentation for consistent product quality.
• Assist with inventory management and material handling for asphalt production.

• Assistwithday-to-dayhotmixasphaltplantoperations,includingexposuretoplantstartupandshutdown,productionscheduling,materialflow,andloadoutoperationsundersupervision.
• Learntheasphaltproductionprocessfromrawmaterialstorageandhandlingthroughmixingandfinishedproductloadout,includingaggregates,liquidasphalt,recycledasphaltpavement(RAP),andothermixcomponents.
• Gainhands-onexposuretoasphaltplantcontrolsandproductionsystems,includingmonitoringoperatingconditions,productionrates,temperatures,materialusage,andotherkeyplantperformanceindicators.
• Supportplantmaintenanceactivitiesbyassistingwithpreventativemaintenance,equipmentinspections,troubleshooting,generalrepairs,andplantcleanuptoimprovereliabilityandavailability.
• Participateinqualitycontrolprocesses,includingasphaltandaggregatesampling,testingprocedures,mixspecifications,anddocumentationtosupportconsistentproductquality.
• AssistwithaggregateandRAPinventorymanagement,stockpileorganization,materialhandling,andcoordinationofmaterialsneededtosupportasphaltproduction.
• Gainexposuretoscalehouseandloadoutoperations,includingtruckcoordination,ticketing,customerinteraction,andcommunicationbetweenplantpersonnel,drivers,andpavingoperations.
• Learnhowproductionschedulesarecoordinatedwithcustomerandconstructionneedswhileconsideringplantcapacity,materialavailability,qualityrequirements,andoperationalefficiency.
• Supportadministrativefunctionsincludingproductionreporting,purchaseorders,workorders,requisitions,inventoryrecords,andotherplantdocumentation.
• Gainexposuretoenvironmentalandregulatoryrequirementsassociatedwithasphaltplantoperationsandassistwithapplicableinspections,documentation,andgoodhousekeepingpractices.
• Participateinleadershipdevelopmentactivities,includingprojectmanagement,teamcollaboration,meetingparticipation,continuousimprovementinitiatives,andpresentationstoplantordivisionalleadership.
• Followallsafety,environmental,andcompanypolicieswhileworkingaroundasphaltproductionequipment,mobileequipment,trucks,andotherplantoperations.
