Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Material Handler Water Spider for our manufacturing campus. The role focuses on receiving, un-packing/packing material, palletizing, count verification audits and data entry, delivering to work centers without driving a hilo.

Duties also include pulling material to production areas, maintaining stock, and following PPE guidelines to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Solid work history including related material handling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedule, inventory reports, packing lists and check-in incoming material and sign for same.
• Must demonstrate a good attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Transports various material including fabricated and vendor parts, scrap, finished goods, etc.
• Maintains a minimum stock in the production area to ensure continuous production and reports any part shortages to their lead or supervisor.
• Complies with proper PPE guidelines. Follows rules for safe operation with hand truck or carts with regard to pedestrian traffic, factory property and material being transported or handled.
