Job summary
Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Materials Handler to join our Shipping and Receiving team. You will ensure safe, accurate handling of materials for production/remanufacturing of railroad equipment, with emphasis on cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery to production areas.
The role requires 2+ years in materials handling, forklift experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Oracle.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years in materials handling, shipping and receiving or warehouse operations; railroad/aerospace/automotive background preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems required.
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving systems (FedEx, UPS, XPO, etc.) is a plus.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Receive, inspect and document incoming shipments.
- Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory records.
- Pull, pack and stage materials for shipment.
- Process shipping/receiving labels and docs for carriers.
- Load/unload materials with forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner.
- Perform ERP transactions in Oracle.
- Support other materials-handling functions to meet deadlines.
- Provide materials to production departments as requested.
- Unload customer material from crates and pallets.
- Follow PPE and safety procedures; participate in safety programs.
