Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a warehouse materials handler assistant in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You will perform storage, issuing, and delivery tasks, manage stock, and support assembly cells with parts while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination, and demonstrated ability to lift heavy items and use ERP systems effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical associate’s degree; 3–6 years of related work experience.
• Experience with warehouse inventory systems and ERP is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work safely in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Counts, weighs, or measures incoming or outgoing items and compares them to records.
• Transport material from receiving areas to storage locations.
• Understand warehouse locations and inventory systems.
• Provide needed parts to assembly cells.
• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to management.
• Perform cycle counts and enter results in ERP system.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies.
• Knowledge of automated or computerized systems.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Accomplish organization goals by taking initiative on new tasks.
