Schuyler Hospital, part of Cayuga Health, seeks a Materials Handler for the Nutrition Services Department in Montour Falls, NY. You will manage inventory, procure, receive, and store food and non-food supplies while ensuring sanitation and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities include FIFO rotation, quality checks, and accurate records. Onsite, full-time days with occasional off-site travel for supplies as needed. Experience preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Licensure not required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct daily inventories, maintain par levels, place orders, minimize waste and support emergency inventory needs.
• Inspect and verify deliveries for accuracy, quality, temperature, damage, and expiration dates; ensure proper storage and FIFO rotation.
• Maintain clean, organized receiving areas, storage rooms, coolers, freezers, and chemical storage areas per standards.
• Ensure proper labeling, temperature control, pest prevention, chemical storage, and safe material handling; remove waste and identify hazards.
• Maintain inventory and sanitation records, assist with audits and recalls, monitor temperatures, and report concerns to leadership.
