Job summary

Sioux Manufacturing is seeking a warehouse associate to move and issue production materials, load/unload, and ensure timely delivery to support quality standards. You will follow SOPs, inspect incoming and outgoing items, and maintain clean work areas while using a forklift as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with 3–6 months warehouse experience preferred. The evening shift runs 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Position work hours:

2:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday- Friday

POSITION SUMMARY

Position is responsible for moving and issuing production materials and supplies in accordance with all required procedures. Ensure timely delivery of materials to support Sioux Manufacturing’s quality standards and client requirements. Packs finished products according to provided instructions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Correctly load and unload vehicles and storage racks and deliver materials to designated departments in accordance with all standard operating procedures, ensuring proper handling of materials and in-process products.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to verify proper operation, identify issues or defects, and document findings.
  • Receive incoming materials in accordance with SMC purchase orders and inspect shipments for discrepancies and damage.
  • Correctly follow all standard operating procedures, work orders, and documented work instructions, such as work order, traveler, MPS, or engineer directive related to the assigned process.
  • Continually keep work areas clean, free of safety hazards, assist others in the process as needed.
  • Requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
  • Pack the product in accordance with work instructions and use proper forms and job aids.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor your performance, other individuals, and/or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Adjust your actions in relation to others' actions as needed.
  • Assist with other departmental operations and/or projects as assigned and/or requested.
  • Fill out the daily forklift checklist.
  • Other duties as assigned by your department supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of inventory, correct procedures, and schedules for obtaining accurate information.
  • Knowledge of driving forklifts with knowledge of loading and unloading materials.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the safety of people, property, and Sioux Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts to improve your skills and/or department processes.
  • Knowledge to develop constructive and working relationships with others to cooperatively work together and achieve quality products timely and support positive interactions over time.
  • Be able to effectively communicate information to co-workers, department supervisors, department management, and ensure accurate transition of that information.
  • Ability to manage your own time and be aware of the time of others.
  • Ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in products and/or processes.
  • Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether current processes comply with standards operating procedures, quality standards and/or documented client provided requirements.
  • Ability to compile, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, and/or verify information and data.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required: High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred: 3-6 months of warehouse experience preferred.
