Job Title: Materials Handler IV

Duration: 6+ months Schedule: 5/40 Location: Carlsbad, NM

This opportunity supports field operations across the Permian Basin, focusing on material handling, asset recovery, inventory control, and warehouse coordination in an active oilfield environment. The role involves identifying, evaluating, tracking, and coordinating the movement of equipment and materials while maintaining accurate records and supporting safe, efficient field cleanup activities. This position offers strong technical exposure across oilfield equipment, SAP-based inventory transactions, and material handling operations.

Required Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
Required Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or oilfield operations.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse processes.
  • Experience working around oilfield materials, equipment, fittings, valves, pipe, and related inventory items.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision in field or industrial environments.
Required Skills
  • Forklift operating experience and the ability to safely operate material handling equipment around heavy equipment.
  • Ability to identify equipment, verify quantities, assess condition, and document assets at field locations.
  • Ability to process equipment transfers, receipts, inventory transactions, and material movements within SAP or similar inventory systems.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse logistics, asset tracking, and inventory documentation.
  • Ability to load, unload, transport, stage, label, tag, count, weigh, measure, and organise materials in line with company procedures.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely navigate active industrial and oilfield environments.
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Permian Basin or similar oilfield environments.
  • Previous experience with SAP inventory transactions.
  • Previous experience in oilfield equipment and asset management.
  • Previous experience in supply chain or warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience with vendor coordination.
  • Forklift certification (Preferred).
  • Experience with material recovery, salvage, or asset disposition programmes.
  • Knowledge of operational practices and inventory processes in a similar environment.
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA, H2S, First Aid, or CPR (Preferred).
