Job summary

Allegion in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Material Specialist I to support production by moving product into and out of the facility and delivering materials to production areas. You will follow Standard Work, verify counts, and ensure accurate material handling to keep the line flowing.

This hands-on role requires physical stamina, forklift operation, and meticulous recordkeeping as you perform cycle counts, scan materials, and coordinate material movement across the plant to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Experience with material movement, inventory accuracy, and standard work procedures.
• Ability to perform cycle counts and material scanning with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials and operate material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Move material into the facility and through the production areas following Standard Work.
• Verify counts and ensure inventory accuracy and proper quantities.
• Scan and transfer material by part number, quantity, and location.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to support production.
