Job summary

Allegion in Greenfield, Indiana is seeking a Material Specialist to support production with accurate handling and movement of materials. You will operate forklifts, stage and issue materials, and ensure inventory accuracy while following safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include entering transactions in ERP/MRP, performing cycle counts, collaborating with teams, and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year material handling and inventory experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials to support production schedules and customer orders.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems and run inventory and KPI reports.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies.
