Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Material Handler II to support receiving, stocking, and issuing materials in the warehouse and from suppliers. The role requires experience with design-build electrical materials and strong MS Excel usage.

The candidate will uphold safety standards, maintain records, and utilize internal systems to manage requisitions and transfers. This position reports to the Material Supervisor and supports colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent; 2+ years with an Associate’s Degree.
• Proficiency with intermediate MS Excel and Outlook.
• Strong reporting & tracking skills and accuracy in inventory.
• Ability to manage critical tasks independently (consignments, tool mgmt, lay down area).
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, verifying, and counting stock items and recording data.
• Verifying inventory by comparing to physical counts.
• Investigating discrepancies and reconciling errors.
• Packing/unpacking and stocking items.
• Marking stock with IDs and labels.
• Maintaining clean, safe storage areas and safe practices.
• Understanding storage methods based on location and turnover.
• Operating internal systems: MRS, ETS, Procurement Mobile.
• Training and mentoring less experienced staff as appropriate.
• Maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
• Using MS Excel for reporting and tracking.
