Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Material Handler I to support receiving, storage, and issuing of materials in our warehouse.

You will work under the Material Supervisor, applying knowledge of design-build electrical industry materials and internal systems to ensure accurate stock controls and efficient operations. Responsibilities include inventory verification, packing, labeling, and maintaining safe storage conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma plus 2+ years' experience or Associate's Degree with 1+ year experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook; strong reporting and data-tracking abilities.
• Ability to manage stock, consignment programs, lay-down area, and loading/unloading zones as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, verifying, and counting stock items and recording data.
• Verifying inventory calculations by comparing to physical counts.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and reconciling errors.
• Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves.
• Marking stock items with identification tags or labeling.
• Maintaining safe storage areas and compliance with safety regulations.
• Storing stock items in an orderly, accessible manner.
• Inspecting stock for wear or defects and reporting issues.
