Job summary

Allegion plc is seeking a Material Handler in Indianapolis, IN to support production schedules and customer orders. You will safely operate material handling equipment, manage inventory, and ensure accurate ERP/MRP entries while maintaining clean and organized work areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer literacy, and the ability to lift materials safely. Overtime and cross-training may be needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with material handling and material movement.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials to support production schedules and customer orders.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems or scanning devices.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage and maintain inventory records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper storage of tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime when needed and adapting to new processes.
