Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Material Specialist at our Greenfield, IN facility to support production with timely material flow. Responsibilities include receiving, staging, and delivering materials, safely operating forklifts, and recording transactions in ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of material handling and inventory experience required.
• Forklift operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials to support production and orders.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks; ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Load and unload materials; inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems and run KPI reports.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement documentation and support QA/Root Cause analysis.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Provide guidance to less experienced teammates and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; cooperate with other teams.
