Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Chester, VA is seeking a Material Handler II to load and unload materials, move items via forklift, and ensure smooth material flow for production lines. The role requires forklift experience and a high school diploma, with a physical aptitude for lifting and moving heavy loads.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years Forklift experience.
• 2+ years experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads sales orders and follows instructions to identify materials or containers to move.
• Receives incoming materials, inspects, and routes shipments; records shortages and coordinates with supplier.
• Orders material from warehouse/storage via ERP for production lines.
• Loads/unloads materials onto/from pallets, racks, and vehicles; uses forklift for heavier loads.
• Uses crimping/banding tools or stretch wrap to prepare materials for movement.
• Moves materials from storage to designated areas using forklift.
