Job summary

Gulf Island & Englobal is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in Houma, LA to safely move, store and distribute materials for production lines. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, maintain inventory accuracy and support shipping activities.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of warehousing experience in manufacturing, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in material handling or warehousing in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents and material specifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and distribute materials to designated areas.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks or other equipment.
• Deliver materials to production lines in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Collaborate with production to ensure material readiness and flow of goods.
