Position Summary
The Materials Handler will perform tasks associated with the material handling process at RealTruck, including receiving materials, stocking, and inventory control, primarily using powered industrial trucks.
Core Functions
- Load and unload raw materials from trailers; verify accuracy against PO and packing slip.
- Receive material deliveries, verify items and quantities to PO, and acquire proper paperwork.
- Move materials to and from point of use, ensuring product quality is maintained.
- Responsible for accurate takeaways or replacements of racks and totes.
- Ensure product is properly labeled with part number, name, and quantity; rotate stock as needed.
- Receive returned product; verify warranty status; update WMS; prepare for disposal or return to stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory; conduct cycle counts; transfer product in system; investigate variances.
- Train other employees, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Operate a company vehicle following traffic and transportation laws.
- Communicate effectively with all departments and supervisors/leads.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 6-12 months of related experience and/or training required.
- 2-5 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
Required Licenses
Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge
- Skilled in operating powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, tape guns.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret safety rules, work instructions, and manuals.
- Capable of basic math, reading, and writing routine reports.
