Shift Schedule:

This position is for a 12-hour rotating day shift (7:00AM to 7:00PM). Schedule: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Responsibilities:

1. Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components.
2. Lay up, feed, or pile down materials at equipment.
3. Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to ensure smooth operation in bindery or mailing department.
4. Separate signatures by hand based on customer specifications.
5. Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
6. Complete skid flags and packaging slips for accurate tracking.
7. Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit, using hand tools.
8. Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
9. Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band them together using banding machine and clincher.
10. Occasionally operate automated equipment and/or industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
11. Able to feed, stock, move, jog, arrange, unload, and rotate items on/off bindery and/or finishing equipment following operating instructions or under supervision.
12. Complete forms related to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
13. Maintain basic knowledge of warehouse layout, item identification codes, and procedures to efficiently place or retrieve stock.
14. Use manual dollies, carts, hand trucks, and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, strapping, stretch wrap, tape fasteners, and metal band sheers for material handling tasks.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.32 to $22.71 per hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.
