- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day shift (7:00AM to 7:00PM). Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Responsibilities include:
- Removing, flexing, jogging, and stacking printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products from the discharge unit of printing presses or adhesive coating equipment.
- Reviewing signatures for smearing, register issues, bad folds, etc., and notifying the Pressroom.
- Removing folded signatures from web presses and placing them on pallets or skids for removal to warehouse or binding areas.
- Adjusting stacking mechanisms on presses according to paper dimensions; loading and unloading materials onto/from pallets, carts, and trays.
- Conveying materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices.
- Counting, weighing, and recording the number of units of materials moved or handled daily.
- Attaching labels or tags to materials and marking information on cases, bales, or containers.
- Stacking or assembling materials into bundles, banding them using banding machines and clinchers.
- Using automated equipment and operating industrial trucks or electric hoists to load or move materials and products.
- Assisting Press Crew with make-ready tasks such as retrieving, hanging, recycling, or storing plates.
- Performing in-process quality checks for print defects like blemishes or scratches.
Minimum skills and knowledge required:
- Ability to stock, move, jog, unload, count, and rotate items on/off printing press equipment as per instructions or supervisor guidance.
- Knowledge of automatic counters and ability to record counts for jobs.
- Completing forms related to stock descriptions, quantities, and labeling requirements.
- Understanding warehouse layout, item codes, procedures, and storage areas to manage materials efficiently.
- Proficiency with manual dollies, carts, hand trucks, and hand tools used in material handling.

The pay range for this role is $16.32 to $22.71 per hour, depending on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
