Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking Material Handlers to support production, pack-on-demand lines, palletizing, and gift order configuration to ensure expedited processing of customer orders. Responsibilities include building pallets per storage specs, reading SKU numbers, maintaining flow on the shipping line, QA adherence, and cross training in other departments.

Candidates should read and follow instructions, be reliable and punctual, able to lift up to 30 lbs, and work shifts with possible

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and labels.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate product sorting and handling.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Able to work assigned shift hours, including overtime or weekends if required.
• Willingness to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications, ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removal.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/ SKU of box to prepare for loading.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
