Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Materials Handler for the 2nd shift to support production and packing. You will assemble trays, lids, feed tapers, palletize and configure gift orders for expedited processing of customer orders.

The role requires the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels, basic English reading skills, and the stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as walking, bending and lifting. High school education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Some high school education required.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (peers, leadership & employees).
• Basic reading (English) skills.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets
• Support the shipping line with a constant flow of product or removal
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/SKU of box to prepare it for loading
• Perform other duties and works in other departments as assigned
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBIILITIES:

• Build pallets according to storage specifications ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
