Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Material Handler to support efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our manufacturing facility. You will help ensure timely delivery to production areas and maintain accurate inventory records for continuous operations.

The role requires 1-3 years of warehouse experience, forklift operation skills, and familiarity with inventory systems. A valid driver's license, ability to pass background/drug screenings, and readiness to work up to 10

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of material handling or warehouse experience.
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Transporting materials to storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Preparing and staging materials for production according to work orders.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and preparing outbound shipments.
  • Reporting discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
  • Keeping work areas clean and organized to support a safe environment.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • Working up to 10 hours per day and weekends as needed.
  • Holding a valid driver's license.
  • Passing a background check and drug screening.

Job Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of raw materials, components, and finished goods within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely delivery of materials to production areas and maintains accurate inventory records to support continuous operations.

A Day In The Life

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Following all company safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Transporting materials to storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Preparing and staging materials for production according to work orders.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and preparing outbound shipments.
  • Reporting discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
