Job summary

Volt is seeking a Materials Handler in Rainsville, AL to support production operations. You will safely operate a stand-up forklift, supply materials, and maintain inventory while upholding 6S and lean manufacturing standards.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, with a pay range of $13.00–$15.00 per hour, and benefits including health, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to complete requirements for Forklift Certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time.
• Manually handling up to 50 pounds often by lift/push/pull.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures including PPE.
• Operate stand up and LP forklift safely.
• Supply raw materials where needed in production.
• Maintain kit carts where applicable.
• Adhere to receiving procedures.
• Manage and consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed.
• Safely operate various industrial ovens when working in CV.
• Participate in physical inventory activities.
• Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.
• Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
• Additional or updated duties as business demands change.

Pay Rate: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
