Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Materials Handler in Houston, TX to support shipping and order fulfillment. The role involves processing customer and manual shipments, monitoring order holds, analyzing inventory availability, and coordinating freight schedules to ensure accurate shipments.

The ideal candidate will follow established shipping procedures, stay organized across orders and statuses, and communicate with customer service to coordinate next steps.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow established shipping procedures and documentation requirements.
• Strong organizational skills to track orders, statuses, and shipping activity accurately.
• Comfort communicating with customer service and coordinating next steps as needed.
• Basic understanding of shipping workflows, including weights/dimensions and shipping method coordination.
• Willingness to assist with material handling responsibilities as assigned and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer shipments and manual shipments, including B-tickets.
• Analyze order HOLDs and communicate updates with customer service.
• Analyze inventory availability for shipment locations and quantities.
• Release sales orders to pick status and monitor sales orders picked but not shipped.
• Maintain shipping records per the Emerson record retention policy and coordinate freight schedules (small package will call, LTL, and TL).

Our client, an industrial and logistics organization, is seeking a Materials Handler to join their team. As a Materials Handler, you will be part of the shipping and order fulfillment function supporting day-to-day movement of materials and accurate shipment processing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a dependable work ethic that aligns successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $ 17.39 - 18.20

Shift: Evenings TBD

What's the Job?
