Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Material Flow Technician for 1st shift to set up material flow processes and cell layouts. You will implement lineside presentation, dense storage solutions, and efficient material handling to support new production cells and ongoing improvements.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering on layouts, labeling, and tool setup; ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting surge needs across receiving, put away, picking, and shipping.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting process or operational improvement in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments.
• APICS certification preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up new material flow processes and part presentation for new build cells according to standards and designs.
• Implement layout, rack and floor location setup, and part labeling for material movement.
• Own small part flow setup including locations and packaging.
• Provide input to packaging and part flow designs to maximize density and handling.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within materials management.
• Support project management for new processes and cell implementation.
