Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Material Flow Technician (Starship) to set up material flow processes, configure layouts, and support new build cells with efficient part presentation. You will work on packaging, racking, and labeling while driving operator efficiency and ensuring inventory accuracy across the production floor.

The role requires hands-on experience with materials management, CAD drawings, and strong problem-solving abilities to support aerospace manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of experience supporting process or operational improvement in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up new material flow processes and part presentation for new build cells according to general material flow standards and engineering designs.
• Implement material flow engineering designs, including layout, racking, labeling, and carts for material movement to drive operator efficiency.
• Own small part flow setup including locations, space-efficient packaging, and min/max controls.
• Provide input into packaging and part flow designs that maximize density and efficient handling while maintaining quality.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within materials management.
• Support project management for new process and cell implementation with BOM input and material delivery coordination.
• Provide surge support across receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and lineside for Materials Management teams.
• Ensure high level of inventory accuracy through timely transactions and cycle counting.
